What is this Website For?

The rainbow that rotates behind my blog is now powered by -webkit-gradient. It knocked about 30kb of images out, and there’s no more banding in the compression. Not that I’m counting. I have 70kb worth of fonts loading, with 5 different http connections for them. This site was not meant to be a lean fighter.1

I definitely see an app like this becoming insanely useful:

1 In fact, the point of the site was to design something that most people didn’t have the guts to do: create something that plays with fringe technology. It’s a playground really. Something will always be in construction. The portfolio page is broken at the moment—I’m not particularly proud of it, but I’d rather it be broken than something I’m not proud of. There’s no archives yet, other than pagination. I’m getting to it, and I’ve got a really cool design for it. Lucky me, I’ve got about a year until I really need to start impressing people, so I’ll spend it getting this website right.
